CEREC®
Mint Dental understands that you have better things to do than visit the dentist a second time. To save you the time involved with repeat appointments, we are proud to provide you with CEREC’s single-visit tooth restoration technology.
What is CEREC?
Unlike other tooth restoration methods, CEREC can repair your damaged teeth in just a single visit. Using high-quality ceramic, CEREC makes your teeth stronger and more beautiful while maintaining a natural feel. Without metal of any type, the resulting crown, veneer, or inlay is biologically compatible with your mouth’s natural tissues. With over thirty years of patient use, CEREC remains a process you can trust.
The CEREC Process
Your restoration will begin with a detailed discussion of the procedure and any resulting questions. The doctor dusts your teeth with a special reflective powder and then takes pictures with a special 3D imaging camera. CEREC’s proprietary software will then design a restoration appropriate to your tooth’s form and function. After completion of an initial design, CEREC will utilize diamond burs and ceramic to create your customized application. Lastly, utilizing state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry, the resulting piece of ceramic will be bonded to your tooth. In just a few hours, you will be dancing out with a renewed smile.
Why Choose CEREC?
When compared to traditional crowns, CEREC’s restoration technology offers some advantages:
• TIME: The ability to both measure and form a crown in a single visit saves you time away from work and family
• COMFORT: You can avoid the pain and discomfort associated with a temporary crown.
• AESTHETICS: Closely matching the color and composition of your natural teeth, your resulting crown will provide strength, beauty, and function.
• DURABILITY: The resulting ceramic crown happens to be stronger than anything produced via traditional methods. Your smile will be great for years to come!
• VERSATILITY: This same CAD technology can also be used to create highly durable ceramic fillings. These are far stronger than typical composite fillings.
