Office Visits
Every member of the team at Mint Dental is committed to providing high-quality, safe, and stress-free dental care. We want your office visits to be positive at Mint.
While some people experience anxiety about visiting the dentist – especially the first time – please be assured that at Mint Dental we work hard to relieve any tension you or your child might feel. We don’t just treat our patients. We strive to make you feel comfortable so that you can actually enjoy going to the dentist.
Preparing for Visits
Preparing for your visits will ensure that the process goes smoothly. First, set aside enough time to visit the dentist. It is a good idea to set aside 45 to 90 minutes for your dental appointments. If your appointment is going to take longer, the Mint Dental team will let you know.
You also need to bring your identification and insurance card with you, if you have insurance. In addition, Mint Dental may ask you to bring additional forms with you.
“Very nice dental office.” – Ashley S.
Your First Visit with Mint Dental
If you are new to Mint Dental, we will need to review your medical history before getting started. Your medical history will go into your permanent file, and then we will use our state-of-the-art digital technology to x-ray your teeth and mouth. (It is simpler, quicker, and more reliable than x-rays of yesteryear.)
Next, you will meet with your dentist to go over the x-rays. Based on the x-rays and conversation with you about what is seen, your dentist will recommend a treatment plan for your teeth. This will include the number of times you should visit the dentist each year.
Dr. Bradshaw, Dr. Kassam, or Dr. Valle will also answer any questions that you may have. This is a great time to ask various questions about your dental care. You may find it helpful to review these frequently asked questions (FAQs), in case they are similar to some of your own questions. Parents of young children may also find these Pediatric Dental FAQs, helpful.
Your Next Visit
Our staff will schedule an appointment for you to come back to Mint Dental. During that visit, a hygienist will provide you with a thorough cleaning. The hygienist will also examine your teeth and gums to see if there are signs of gingivitis (gum disease) or decay. If there is, the dentist will discuss the issues with you, show you images of the affected areas, and provide you with some treatment options.
“This was the best dental experience I’ve had.” – Bernard J.
Future Visits
According to the American Dental Association, you should go to your dentist twice a year. The Mint Dental team can schedule your appointments in advance. That way, you will keep your teeth clean and healthy all year long.
